North Carolina State Surplus Property

The State Surplus Property Agency has the responsibility to sell general property that has been declared surplus by various agencies. General property may consist of, but is not limited to: office furniture, chairs desk, credenzas, bookcases, lab furniture, bulletin boards, chalk boards, dry erase boards, electronic equipment, shop equipment, automotive parts, refrigerated equipment, lawn and garden equipment, forklifts, farm equipment, lab equipment, power tools, appliances, commercial kitchen equipment, office supplies and many other items.

The State Surplus Property Agency is responsible for selling property that has been seized by the Department of Revenue, Unauthorized Substance Tax Division, Unclaimed Property (Escheats) for the Department of Treasury and Prohibited Items collected from airports.

Drug seized property may include, but is not limited to: cars, trucks, motorcycles, ATV’s, generators, farm equipment, lawn and garden equipment, jewelry, furniture, appliances, televisions, stereos, DVD player/recorders, VCR’s, video games, computers, shop equipment, hand tools, power tools, etc.
